Professor Wu Qiang of CUMTB elected as Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering

On December 7th, the official website of Chinese Academy of Engineering announced the results of “Cooptation of Academicians and Election of Foreign Academicians in 2015”. Prof. Wu Qiang from CUMTB was among the list, who is one of the eight new Academicians in the Energy and Mineral Engineering Department. Wu Qiang, who has been long engaged in mining hydrology and engineering geological research and engineering work, is one of the leaders in the field of mine water prevention. He has made many remarkable achievements in the theory and R&D of mine water prevention and utilization.
