On the morning of January 8th, CPC Central Committee and the State Council held a grand ceremony of National Science and Technology Awards in the People’s Great Hall. After going through a strict review process, 295 projects and 7 foreign scientists were awarded. The project led by Prof. Yang Renshu, President of CUMTB, titled “Key Technology and Complete Equipment of the Construction of Deep Vertical Shaft with Super Large Diameter”, the project led by Prof. Bi Yinli from School of Geoscience and Surveying Engineering at CUMTB, titled “Microorganism Repairing Technology and Application in Land Reclamation in Arid and Semi-arid Regions of Western China” won the second prize of 2015 National Science and Technology Progress Awards.
