Recently, Organization Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee issued “Announcement on issuing the list of top youth talents of 2014 ‘Ten Thousand Talents Project’ ”, Prof. Zuo Jianping from CUMTB is among the list. Zuo Jianping is a professor and doctorial tutor in School of Mechanics and Civil Engineering, Vice Chairman of the Youth Working Committee of China Rock Mechanics and Engineering Society. He has been mainly engaged in the R&D and teaching of macroscopic and mesoscopic failure mechanism and constitutive model of fractured mining rock, as well as control failure mechanism and technology of surrounding rocks.
