On the morning of April 28, Prof. James W. Dally from University of Maryland, Member of U.S. National Academy of Engineering and expert of CUMTB “Underground Clean Energy Development” innovative base funded by Program of Introducing Talents of Discipline to Universities (“Program 111”) visited CUMTB. President Yang Renshu met with Prof. Dally.

　　President Yang made an introduction to the achievements that has been made in the construction of disciplines and laboratories, and an overview of the coal industry in China as well as some coal mining technologies of world-leading level. He hoped that Prof. Dally could contribute some advice and suggestions to the construction of CUMTB “Underground Clean Energy Development” innovative base. Prof. Dally gave a general introduction to the development of U.S. energy structure and coal industry, appreciated the measures that have been taken in faculty members cultivation and expressed his intention to deepening cooperation and exchange through the platform of “Program 111”.
