Recently, the 14th and 15th Undergraduate Physical Experiment Competition of Beijing came to a close. Due to the impact of the pandemic, the organizing committee of the two competitions agreed that all competition projects would be conducted with students participating in online defense and judges conducting centralized offline reviews. The competition was hosted by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and undertaken by Beijing Jiaotong University. A total of 40 universities, including Beihang University, Beijing Institute of Technology, and the Army Academy of Armored Forces, participated in the two contests. There were 253 participating teams and over 759 participants in the two sessions. Our university sent out 14 teams to compete (each university is limited to 7 teams per session). After intense competition, 2 teams won first prizes, 4 teams won second prizes, and 8 teams won third prizes. The winning rate of participating teams in the two sessions was 100%. In 2021 and 2022, our university's participating teams and winning rates were tied for first place (only 2 universities in 2021 and 5 universities in 2022 among all participating universities). In 2022, our university once again won the "Best Organization Award" in the 14th and 15th Undergraduate Physical Experiment Competition of Beijing.
The organizational guidance for this competition was exceptionally challenging. In 2021, the competition was postponed due to the impact of the pandemic. In 2022, the organizing guidance faced significant difficulties due to restrictions on the opening of the innovation center caused by the pandemic and other reasons. With active coordination from the university, a special green channel was opened for the competition teams at the innovation center after the National Day. Following the initiation of the innovation center, the participating teachers and students worked together with determination, ultimately achieving excellent results.
