On March 11th, the 4th expanded meeting of the sixth session of the Beijing University Student Sports Association was held at the CFGC International Conference Center in Beijing. Our university was awarded two major honors of the 2022 Higher Education Institute Sunshine Sports League, “Chaoyang Cup” Outstanding Award and “Sunshine Cup”Outstanding Award, by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission. This is the first time our university has won the top two honors in the capital's university sports work. With a total score of 806 points, we ranked fifth in Group A and won the “Chaoyang Cup” Outstanding Award and with a total score of 675.64 points, we ranked third in Group B and won the “Sunshine Cup” Outstanding Award, achieving outstanding results in sports development.

The “Chaoyang Cup” and “Sunshine Cup” were established by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission to promote sports work in the capital's universities. Ninety-three universities are ranked based on their participation and achievements, and awards are given to the top-ranking units in Groups A and B. These awards evaluate the development of sports activities among students in various universities. The “Chaoyang Cup”, established in 2009, consists of mass sports competitions and activities organized by the Teaching and Research Department of the Beijing University Student Sports Association. It includes more than 30 activities such as rope skipping, kicking shuttlecocks, dragon boat racing, and team-building competitions, as well as physical fitness tests, teacher speech competitions, and scientific paper presentations. The top 10 universities in the points ranking receive the “Chaoyang Cup” Outstanding Award. The “Sunshine Cup”, established in 2008, consists of competition events organized by the Competition and Training Department of the Beijing University Student Sports Association. It includes 18 Olympic sports such as athletics, tennis, soccer, and basketball. The top 20 universities in the points ranking receive the “Sunshine Cup” Outstanding Award.
