Recently, the 25th China Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition National Finals came to a close. Our university's representative team excelled in the Robot Application Competition (Smart Driving), securing one National First Prize, one National Second Prize, two Beijing Regional Second Prizes, and one Beijing Regional Third Prize. In the Robot Innovation Competition, they achieved a National Second Prize.

This competition attracted over 1,700 teams from more than 500 universities nationwide, including prestigious institutions like Tsinghua University, Beijing Institute of Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Xiamen University, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, and China University of Mining and Technology-Beijing.

School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, as the organizing unit for this event, placed high importance on the competition. They formed a guidance team comprising faculty members, including Zhao Feng from the Center for Electrical and Information Engineering Laboratory Teaching, Zhang Pengning and Zha Wenting from Department of Electrical Engineering and Automation. Throughout the preparation period, both faculty and students devoted a considerable amount of time and effort to team formation, daily training, track construction, vehicle model debugging, event communication, and more. Their hard work and dedication paid off, resulting in a dual breakthrough in the quantity and quality of awards compared to our school's previous participation in the competition.

The China Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition organized by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence stands out as the first competition in China to seamlessly combine the research and application of key technologies in the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence. It holds a significant place in the National College Student Competition Catalog of the China Association of Higher Education and is recognized as a Class A academic and technological competition for extracurricular activities among university students nationwide. Since its establishment in 1999, the competition has been successfully conducted for 25 sessions, solidifying its position as the largest, most influential, and highest-level robotics competition in China.

In the future, our university will persistently pursue the goal of "learning and creating through competition". We will actively encourage our students to engage in technological innovation practices in the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence. Our focus will be on elevating teamwork, nurturing an entrepreneurial spirit, and fostering highly qualified applied talents with robust practical abilities and a keen awareness of innovation.
