On March 29th, the 2024 CUMTB Sports Committee Working Meeting was held at the Fuzhongyuan Lecture Hall. Vice President Liu Bo, and Deputy Secretary of the CUMTB Party Committee and Director of the CUMTB Sports Committee, An Yu, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. More than 100 members of the Sports Committee, relevant departments, and school leaders, as well as award-winning teachers and student representatives, participated in the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Xie Junyan, Secretary of Department of Sport Education and Research's Party Branch.

Liu Bo delivered a speech, fully affirming the achievements of our university in sports in 2023.

An Yu announced the list of advanced sports units and individuals, and congratulated those who were recognized for their outstanding contributions to sports.

Liu Bo, An Yu, and Dong Huize, a member of the CUMTB Party Committee and Minister of the Party Committee's Publicity Department, presented medals and certificates of honor to representatives of the award-winning units and individuals.

At the meeting, Yang Sanjun, the Secretary-General of the Sports Committee, presented the university annual sports-work report. Yang Qingzhou, the Secretary of the Party Committee of School of Emergency Management and Safety Engineering, shared experiences as a representative of advanced sports units. Professor Nan Rui from School of Law and Humanities, and Zhang Chi, a student of the 2020 cohort from School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, spoke as representatives of advanced individuals and “Top Ten Athletes”, respectively.

After the work meeting, the 24th Sports Meeting Coordination Meeting was held to discuss the preparations, schedule, and relevant matters for the coming athletic meeting.
