On April 22, the 2020 list of Highly Cited Chinese Researchers was released, and eight faculty members from our university were included, marking the highest number of entries in recent years. Here are the disciplines and individuals who were recognized:

The Elsevier "Highly Cited Chinese Researchers" list uses Scopus, a globally authoritative citation and indexing database, as the source of data on Chinese scholars' research achievements. The selection methodology, designed by Shanghai Ranking Consultancy (ShanghaiRanking), identifies the most globally influential Chinese scholars.
The 2020 list covers 84 primary disciplines across 10 subject categories designated by Ministry of Education, with a total of 4,023 scholars from 373 universities, enterprises, and research institutions included. Our university's presence on the list places it 93rdamong 296 universities in terms of the number of scholars selected.
In recent years, our university has focused on the "Double First-Class" initiative, continuously strengthening its strategy of developing talents to enhance the overall quality of education and research. This includes efforts to cultivate existing talents, actively recruit new talents, provide ongoing support, and coordinate talent management comprehensively. These efforts aim to enrich the university's intellectual resources and support its comprehensive development.
