In the first half of 2020, despite the global slowdown in international educational exchanges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our university actively engaged in online communications and successfully signed intercollegiate cooperation agreements with several universities around the world. These universities include Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" in Bulgaria, University College Cork in Ireland, University of Zagreb in Croatia, University of Alberta in Canada, and University of Newcastle in Australia. These agreements explore new channels for the university to implement the spirit of the "The Opinions on Accelerating and Scaling Up Education Opening-up in the New Era from Ministry of Education and Seven Other Government Departments”(“The Opinions”) and to plan and push forward international education cooperations in the post-pandemic phase.

In April, a memorandum of understanding was signed with University College Cork in Ireland to deepen academic exchanges, mutual visits of researchers, student exchanges, and academic resource sharing.
In May, a cooperation memorandum was signed with the University of Zagreb in Croatia, expanding cooperation through teacher and student exchanges, joint research projects, and co-organizing academic conferences on the basis of existing academic collaborations.
