On Jan. 17, academic publishing giant Elsevier officially released the 2018 Chinese Most Cited Researchers list, featuring a total of 1899 scholars from China. Professor Dai Shifeng from our university, after consecutively being included in the Most Cited Researchers list from 2014 to 2017, once again achieved this recognition in the 2018 list.

The Chinese Most Cited Researchers list is developed using methods and standards devised by ShanghaiRanking Consultancy, making systematic analysis on the worldwide influences of Chinese researchers based on objective citation data from Elsevier's Scopus database. This comprehensive database indexes and abstracts peer-reviewed academic papers, providing extensive literature, author, and institutional data related to research activities. This enables a scientific analysis and evaluation on the global impact of Chinese scholars.
