As the Spring Festival approaches, in order to promote excellent traditional Chinese culture and create a joyful and harmonious festive atmosphere, China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) held the "Serpent's Grace, Mining's Prosperity" – 2025 Winter Vacation Spring Festival Garden Party for On-Campus Students in Fuzhongyuan on January 22. Han Shangfeng, Secretary of the University Party Committee, Liu Bo, President and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Cui Ximin, Vice President, and An Yu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, attended the event. Relevant department heads, responsible comrades from various colleges, faculty representatives, and over 300 on-campus students during the winter vacation participated in the activity.
The event site featured over 10 recreational projects full of festive flavors, including arrow throwing, writing couplets and Fu (happiness) characters, boiling dumplings, and more, creating a joyous, warm, and festive atmosphere.
Couplets are a unique form through which Chinese people express their wishes for good luck and blessings, with a history of over two thousand years. University leaders and on-campus students together wielded their brushes and ink, writing New Year blessings for the university on red paper.
Dumplings are an indispensable part of Chinese traditional culture, symbolizing reunion, happiness, and peace. Teachers and students enjoyed delicious dumplings while chatting about interesting stories from their study and life.
University leaders had cordial conversations with on-campus students, inquiring about their study and life over the past year, caring about their study arrangements during the school term, and reminding them to pay attention to water and electricity safety and prevent telecom scams while on campus.
During the winter vacation, China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) continuously cares about the study and life status of on-campus students, mobilizing mentors, counselors, professional teachers, and students staying on campus to strengthen communication.
