In order to implement the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, promote the all-round development of students, enrich campus cultural life, and showcase the artistic talents of young students, the first band performance of the China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) College Student Art and Culture Festival was held on the evening of May 17 at the Shahe Campus Student Activity Center. Over 400 teachers and students attended the event.
The event centered around band performances, incorporating dance and impromptu interactive art forms to present a visually and acoustically stunning feast full of youthful energy. Four bands with distinct styles took the stage in turn, igniting the atmosphere with the song "Light Years Away." Subsequently, through diverse musical styles such as upbeat pop and lyrical rock, including performances of "Be Together No Matter How Far", "Flowers" and “Listen to Mom", the event showcased the narrative power of music through shifts between passionate and profound emotions.
The event also featured dance performances and an impromptu song request segment. The dance performances energized the stage with powerful body language, while pure vocal renditions infused the venue with a gentle tone. The grand finale, a chorus of "Rice Fragrance" became the highlight of the evening, interpreting youth through warm melodies.
This event aimed to create a diverse and vibrant campus cultural atmosphere, not only providing students with a platform for artistic practice but also guiding young people to appreciate cultural connotations through immersive aesthetic experiences. In the future, the university will continue to leverage platforms like the Art and Culture Festival to innovate aesthetic education forms, helping students enhance their comprehensive qualities through artistic immersion and injecting new momentum into campus cultural development.
