It was announced at the 31st International Organic Petrology Conference held in Sydney Australia that Professor Dai Shifeng of our university won the Outstanding Contribution Award of the Society of Organic Petrology (TSOP). This Award is for scientists who have made outstanding contributions to TSOP. Founded in the year of 1988, the Award has been granted to 20 winners worldwide, among whom, Dai Shifeng is not only the youngest winner but also the only winner from outside North America. The other 19 winners are either from the U.S. (17) or Canada (2).
