On the afternoon of October 21, CUMTB President Yang Renshu was invited to join the meeting between China’s Ministry of Education and Austrian delegation led by Austrian Vice-Chancellor and Federal Minister of Economy Reinhold Mitterlehner, and signed Letter of Intent with Wilfried Eichlseder, President of Montanuniversitaet Leoben (MUL). Vice Minister Du Yubo of Ministry of Education and Reinhold Mitterlehner exchanged ideas on Sino-Austrian cooperation in education and scientific research fields. Both sides hoped to further promote exchange and collaboration in higher education, expand students exchange scope, and strengthen scientific research collaboration among universities in key fields. Under the witness of Du Yubo and Reinhold Mitterlehner, President Yang of CUMTB and President Eichlseder of MUL signed the Letter of Intent.
