The 13th Congress of International Society for Rock Mechanics (ISRM) was convened in Montreal, Canada between May 13th and 15th. Prof. He Manchao of CUMTB, also the academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, was elected as Vice President of ISRM, taking charge of ISRM Education Fund Committee (term of office: 2015 to 2019), which is of great importance for the rock mechanics research achievements of CUMTB to be globally recognized.
