On the morning of June 8, Prof. Hanschke, President of German Technische Universit?t Clausthal, together with ten other delegates, paid a visit to our university. Prof. Jiang Yaodong, Vice President of CUMTB met with the delegation.

During the meeting, Vice President Jiang introduced the history and development of CUMTB, student scale and the significant role that CUMTB has been playing in national higher education system as well as in the energy industry. He also expressed his hope that the cooperation of scientific research programs and students’ exchange between the two universities would be of great help to China’s coal energy consumption and pollution by borrowing German experience and technology in clean and high-efficient utilization of coal. President Hanschke introduced the history and current situation of TUC, its student-faculty scale, energy research center and alumni association in China. He hoped that the two universities would contribute to China’s energy reform via mutual collaboration.
