From September 20 to 27, the 32nd International Organic Petrology Conference was held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Prof. Dai Shifeng takes over the President of The Society for Organic Petrology (TSOP) from 2015 to 2017. He is Chief Editor of International Journal of Coal Geology, a world renowned magazine in coal geology field. He is also the Distinguished Professor of Cheung Kong Scholars Program, the Chief Scientist of National 973 Project and winner of National Outstanding Youth Scholar Fund. Prof. Dai has been elected as Vice President and President-elect of TSOP from 2013 to 2015 and Committee Chairman of the supreme award of TSOP, John Casta?o Honorary Membership Award.
