On the morning of September 12, two experts of CUMTB “Underground Clean Energy Development” innovative base funded by Program of Introducing Talents of Discipline to Universities (“Program 111” approved in 2014), Prof. Derek Elsworth of Energy and Geo-Environmental Engineering from the US Pennsylvania State University, also a member of U.S. National Academy of Engineering and Prof. Jishan Liu from University of Western Australia visited our university. President Yang Renshu met with them. After the meeting, two professors jointly held a theme-based lecture on "Shale Gas Development Foundation" to teachers and students from the School of Mechanics and Civil Engineering, which was highly valued by the audience.
