On March 21, Professor Gao Wei from the University of Auckland, member of Royal Society of New Zealand and fellow of New Zealand Academy of Engineering, and Wei Xiaojin, his doctoral candidate, visited CUMTB. Vice President Jiang Yaodong met with them.

　　President Jiang expressed encouragement and support to the academic exchange and research cooperation between two sides. He hoped overseas Chinese like Prof. Gao could contribute his efforts to development of China's science and technology and other aspects through close cooperation with domestic scientists. Professor Gao said both parties had a very good complementary in the field of research and can carry out cooperation and exchange in many areas of common interests.
