On September 4, Prof. Peter Moser, Vice President of Montanuniversitaet Leoben, accompanied by Eduard Lackner, Human Resource Manager of underground coal mines in Sandvik Mining GmbH Zeltweg, Wu Jianghong, PR Director in Greater China Region of Sandvik Mining, Zang Weini, Marketing Manager of underground coal mine in Sandvik Mining, visited the university and signed a tripartite cooperation agreement related to international graduate training program. Jiang Yaodong, Vice President of CUMTB introduced the history of the university, its discipline construction, research features and the important role of the university in China’s higher education and coal industry. After reviewing and summarizing the fruitful results achieved since two universities started cooperation last year, Jiang spoke highly of the contribution made by Sandvik Mining to cultivate talents for universities. Peter Moser introduced the important role played by Montanuniversitaet Leoben in Austrian and European mining industry, its international exchanges and long-term partnership with Sandvik Mining. He also gave positive affirmation to the importance of CUMTB in mining industry and extended the wish to promote the cooperation between the two universities in a sustained and in-depth way. Believing that the signing of the tripartite cooperation agreement related to international graduate training program would further carry forward the company’s development philosophy of actively cultivating professional talents, Eduard Lackner showed his confidence in the future development of this program.
