On October 15, Prof. Arkady Kryazhimskiy, senior researcher in Advanced System Analysis Research Department of International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis, academician of Russian Academy of Sciences, accompanied by Dr Elena Rovenskaya, executive director of the Advanced System Analysis project and Dr Guiying Cao, senior researcher visited the university. Jiang Yaodong, Vice President of CUMTB met with the delegation, and introduced the history of China University of Mining and Technology ever since its establishment in 1909, its subject features and its important role in mining industry. Arkady Kryazhimskiy introduced his project results in the field of applied mathematics and hoped to promote both sides to conduct substantive cooperation. Elena Rovenskaya hoped to boost the program in students exchange and scholars visits.
