On the morning of October 23, Prof. Oliver Langefeld, Vice President of German Clausthal University of Technology, accompanied by Dr Elisabeth Clausen, assistant professor of mining department, and PhD candidates Amit Agasty and Moritz Kellner visited our university. Jiang Yaodong, Vice President of CUMTB met with the delegation, and introduced our university’s enrollment scale, characteristic disciplines, university features as well as its important role in China’s higher education system and mining industry. Oliver Langefeld introduced their university’s staff-student ratio, teaching system and development strategy. Both sides hoped that this visit could promote postgraduate exchange project between the two universities, and further encourage professors of both sides to conduct scientific research cooperation in subjects of common interests.
