Recently, the candidate list of Program for New Century Excellent Talents of the Ministry of Education was officially released. 5 teachers in our university were included in this list, namely Wang Wensheng from School of Management, Zhao Yanling from School of Geosciences and Surveying Engineering, Guo Dongming from School of Mechanics and Civil Engineering, Peng Ruidong from State Key Laboratory of Coal Resources and Safe Mining, and Zhu Tao from School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering.

　　“Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University” of the Ministry of Education is a subsequent plan for Support Program for Cross-century Talents of the Ministry of Education. The program is valid for 3 years. The amount of funding for natural sciences is 500 thousand yuan and for philosophy and social sciences is 200 thousand yuan.
