From March 8th to 10th, entrusted by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Natural Science Foundation of China organized experts to conduct field assessment on the State Key Laboratory for GeoMechanics and Deep Underground Engineering of our university. The experts reviewed the work report, took a site inspection to the laboratory and provided verbal assessment feedback.

On Mar. 8th, laboratory assessment debriefing was held at CUMTB. Professor Luo Pingya, the expert group director and academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, presided over the debriefing, which consisted of two parts: general report and academic report of representative achievements.

During the inspection over the key laboratory in the morning of Mar. 9th, Professor He Manchao, director of the laboratory, introduced specific conditions of the laboratory and demonstrated related experimental system. In the morning of Mar. 10th, the expert group left for Xuzhou campus to conduct the other site inspection on key laboratory. After that, the expert group reviewed laboratory assessment materials and held interviews to some laboratory staff members.

In the afternoon of Mar. 10th, on behalf of the expert group, academician Luo Yaping, director of the expert group, provided assessment feedback, giving a full affirmation to laboratory achievements.
