China Research Center for Coal Economics and Management established

On March 24th, “China Research Center for Coal Economics and Management” was officially established in Beijing and its aim is to gather industry elites to promote collaboration and innovation, carry out research of major problems and serve coal industry’s development.
The target of establishing “China Research Center for Coal Economics and Management” is to make a research platform with greatest influence in domestic coal economics and management field and strong international impact based on coal industry and extended to other energy field.
The research center is made up of management committee and working committee. Management committee is the decision-making body of the research center in charge of reviewing and deciding important affairs in the research center. The director is Pu Hongjiu, vice-directors are Qiao Jianyong and Wu Yin, and committee members include Yuan Liang, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Director of National Engineering Research Center of Coal Gas Control, as well as leaders from Coal Department of National Energy Administration, and presidents, general managers and heads from some large and medium-size coal enterprises and institutions, etc. Working committee is responsible for routine work of the research center, which is located in School of Management at CUMTB.
The research center will carry out the following activities: conducting researches on important economic and managerial problems in accordance with development trend and requirements of coal and energy industry; holding “China Coal Economics and Management Summit Forum” annually; convening expert seminar around hot topics concerning coal and energy industry development; carrying out exchange visits and collaborative research with related academic institutions of coal and energy economics and management fields at home and abroad.
