On February 27th, a bright spring day in Hong Kong, 72 alumni of China University of Mining and Technology from Hong Kong and overseas gathered together in Hong Kong Foo Lum Palace Restaurant to hold the Spring Festival Tea Party.

The alumni enrolled in 1953 include Chen Qingquan, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and his wife Yu Ruwei, Xue Honghua Hong Kong engineer, Xiong Bingzhi, Xu Minhui and Chen Rulian. The alumni enrolled after 1954 include Xu Youyao, Huang Guangmei, Lin Zhufa, as well as Zheng Cuiqing and Su Anna who were once good sport players of China University of Mining and Technology and rushed back from Australia and Austria respectively. Chen Shiming, a student of Mining Engineering enrolled in 1960 came from Central Java of Indonesia, and Zhang Zhanming, a student of Mining Engineering enrolled in 1956, came from Shangha. Both made their specific trip to the party.
