First China International Acid and Metalliferous Drainage Workshop Held in Beijing From December 3 to 4, the first China International Acid and Metalliferous Drainage Workshop (AMD) was held in Beijing. The meeting was supported by CUMT-Beijing.

More than 70 experts and scholars from seven countries including Australia, USA, Canada, South Africa and China made communications and discussions on the theme of “Managing Heavy Metal Pollution from Mine Sites”. HU Zhenqi, professor of CUMT-Beijing, made an academic report entitled “Research Status and Prospect of AMD from Coal Mining Districts in China”.
