On the morning of June 27, the distinguished professor appointment ceremony was held in conference room 201, CUMTB International Exchange Center. Prof. Derek Elsworth from Pennsylvania State University, member of the US National Academy of Engineering was appointed as the distinguished chief scientist of Beijing Municipality Key Laboratory of Precision Mining of Associated Energy Resources at CUMTB, and Prof. Liu Jishan from University of Western Australia, member of the National Thousand Talents Program, as the chief scientist. Prof. Jiang Yaodong, Vice President of CUMTB, attended the appointment ceremony and conferred the appointment letters to Academician Derek Elsworth and Prof. Liu Jishan.
