On July 8, the Second National University Students Chemical Engineering Experiment Competition (North China Area), concluded at China University of Petroleum (East China). Li Shishuai, Liu Ranran, and Wang Xinyu, three students from Grade 2015 of CUMTB, were awarded the group first prize, which enabled them to enter the National Finals. Jointly held by Ministry of Education Teaching Guidance Committee for Chemical Engineering majors in Higher Education Institutions and China Education Association of Chemical Industry, this competition aims to promote the construction of “New Engineering” of chemical engineering majors in higher education institutions, to improve the teaching quality of core undergraduate courses of chemical engineering majors, to upgrade the capability of education in helping developing petrol and chemical engineering industries, and to motivate the university students’ enthusiasm for learning .
