On the morning of August 31, Prof. Bibhu Mohanty from the University of Toronto, Canada, also as the expert of CUMTB in the program “Underground Clean Energy Development” of the Base for Introducing Talents of Discipline to Universities (abbr. as “111” Program), visited CUMTB. President Yang Renshu met with Prof. Mohanty, who is now theHonoraryProfessor of the Department of Civil and Mining Engineering, the University of Toronto, Canada. Prof. Mohanty once served as the former Chairman of the NSERC Industrial Research Department, the former Senior Science and Technology Assistant of ICI Explosives, and member of the Organizing Committee of the International Rock Blasting Fragment Conference (Fragment Explosion). Besides, he is also an honorary member of the International Society of Explosives Engineers (ISEE), mainly responsible for the advanced researches on the commercial explosives characteristics, and often consulted by enterprises about the technical conundrums of explosion and blasting, and the explosion-proof and protection structure, etc.
