Conference was held in Beijing. Sponsored by Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics＆Engineering (CSRME), and undertaken by CUMTB, this conference focused on “Showing the Progress of China Rock Mechanics and Engineering, and Serving the ‘One Belt and One Road’ Construction and Development ”. Three main features can be seen from this conference: the first one is internationalization, with 4 international branch venues, 44 renowned international experts on rock mechanics invited to give their academic reports; the second one is large scale, with 27 branch venues set up to hold 4060 participants; the third one is integration of “academic report, technical training and industrial exhibition”, 789 academic reports, 8 technical trainings, and 110 industrial booths made in this conference.
