Recently, the Ministry of Education announced the list of national and provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites for the year 2021.CUMTBsecured four majors, including Remote Sensing Science and Technology, Business Administration, Accounting, and Public Administration, as national first-class undergraduate major construction sites. Additionally, seven majors, including Law, English, Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, Materials Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Robot Engineering, and Industrial Engineering, received approval as first-class undergraduate programs in Beijing. As of now, our university boasts 19 national first-class undergraduate major construction points and 10 Beijing-level first-class undergraduate programs among its undergraduate disciplines.

Since April 2019, the Ministry of Education has implemented the "Double Ten Thousand Plan" for the construction of first-class undergraduate majors, which plans to build 10,000 national first-class undergraduate majors and 10,000 provincial first-class undergraduate majors in three years, aiming to comprehensively revitalize undergraduate education, improve the talent training ability of colleges and universities, and realize the conformal development of higher education.

Since the Ministry of Education launched the "Double Ten Thousand Plan", the university has strengthened top-level design, taken multiple measures and made comprehensive planning, and achieved significant results in the cultivation, construction and application of first-class undergraduate majors.

The university will persist in overseeing the development of three batches of first-class undergraduate major construction points, consistently refining the array of disciplines. We will steadfastly advance the all-encompassing improvement of talent cultivation capacity and quality while expediting the establishment of a world-class university in energy science and technology.
