On March 28, the 2022 Elsevier "China Highly Cited Scholars Annual List" was officially released, and 9 teachers from our university, including He Manchao, Wu Qiang, Wang Jiachen, Dai Shifeng, Ju Yang, Zuo Jianping, Zhao Yixin, Meng Zhaoping, and Sun Chunwen, were included.

The 2022 Elsevier "China Highly Cited Scholars" list includes a total of 5,216 scholars from 504 universities, enterprises, and research institutions, covering 84 primary disciplines in 10 academic fields of the Ministry of Education. Since its first release in 2015, this year marks the 9th edition of Elsevier's "China Highly Cited Scholars" list. The list provides a comprehensive analysis and recognition of Chinese scholars at different stages of their research careers and systematically showcases their research achievements. It plays a crucial role in university and discipline evaluations at home and abroad and has become an important indicator for measuring the academic influence of institutions.

This year, our university's scholars included in the list are mainly concentrated in the disciplines of geological resources and geological engineering with 3 individuals, mining engineering with 2 individuals, mechanics with 2 individuals, civil engineering with 1 individual, and chemistry with 1 individual. The list accurately presents the composition of the university's advantageous disciplines and highlights breakthrough innovations in key technical research and various key areas. It provides data support and directional guidance for the construction of the university's disciplinary team, research decision-making, and the establishment of interdisciplinary studies.
