To further facilitate international exchange, enhance the university's global image, and intensify international education efforts, a meeting on advancing internationalization was held on the afternoon of June 6thin Room 200 of No. 1 Office Building. President and Deputy Secretary of CUMTB Party Committee, Liu Bo, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Deputy Secretary of the CUMTB Party Committee, An Yu, chaired the meeting. Also in attendance were representatives from the Party and Administrative Office, the Party Committee's Department of Publicity, International Cooperation and Exchange Office, the Network and Information Center, as well as leaders from various schools and key laboratories.

Liu Bo emphasized that the English website serves as a crucial window for the university's external publicity and plays a pivotal role in enhancing the institution's internationalization efforts. He stressed the need for tailored and coordinated efforts across the university in developing the English website. Specifically, he outlined three key points: firstly, clarifying responsibilities among departments, schools, and key laboratories to ensure effective division of labor in editing, reviewing, and publishing content; secondly, ensuring the cautious and prudent release of information in strict compliance with information security and disclosure regulations; and thirdly, prioritizing network security by regularly maintaining website and server infrastructure. While schools and key laboratories maintain rigorous content review, the Party Committee's Department of Publicity and the International Cooperation and Exchange Office are responsible for the overall review.

Liu Bo further expressed that to improve the university's level of international education, efforts should be made from six dimensions: the university, schools, scholars, disciplines, academics, and students. Grasping the opportunity of being approved to train international students funded by the Chinese Government Scholarship program, the university should base on existing flagship programs such as the China-Germany-Austria Joint Master's Program in Advanced Mineral Resources Development, the integrated master's and doctoral programs, and international frontier courses, further secure international education resources, intensify the training of high-level international talents, enhance the international communication abilities of faculty and students, actively participate in the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" initiatives in higher education international cooperation, and continuously advance high-level openness to the outside world.

Representatives from the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, the Network and Information Center, the Party Committee's Department of Publicity, and the Party and Administrative Office elaborated on their respective focal areas. Leaders from schools and key laboratories also exchanged views and shared their insights during the meeting.
