President Liu Bo Meets with Academician Avid Budeebazar, Vice President of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences

Recently, President Liu Bo met with Professor Avid Budeebazar, Vice President of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences and an academician of the academy. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on deepening scientific research collaboration and promoting academic exchanges.
Liu Bo extended a warm welcome to Avid Budeebazar and introduced the university’s history, disciplinary strengths, research advantages, and talent cultivation. He noted that the university has a solid research foundation in areas such as mineral resource development and utilization, environmental protection and ecological governance, coal conversion and low-carbon utilization, and solid waste recycling. These align closely with the research directions of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences. Given the important consensus reached by the leaders of China and Mongolia, there is significant potential for collaboration between the two institutions. Liu expressed hope for deeper cooperation in related fields to jointly serve the strategic development needs of both countries.
Avid Budeebazar expressed gratitude for the warm reception and provided an overview of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, including its research progress in coal, mining, chemical engineering, and environmental fields. He emphasized the academy’s strong commitment to collaborating with Chinese universities and research institutions. He looks forward to establishing a long-term, stable partnership with China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing), jointly applying for international research projects, advancing the construction of research platforms, and fostering exchanges and training for scientific and technological talent.
