On January 30^th, Elsevier released the 2025 Highly Cited Chinese Researchers list. A total of 6,310 scholars from 543 universities, enterprises, and research institutions were selected, spanning 10 disciplinary categories and 83 first-level disciplines within China’s Ministry of Education classification system. Fourteen scholars from the University were included on the list.

The list is based on data from Scopus, a globally recognized citation and indexing database, and applies a methodology developed by Shanghai Ranking Consultancy. By 2026, the list marks its 12^th consecutive release through collaboration between the two institutions, drawing wide attention from the academic community and the media at home and abroad.
