On the morning of Jan 9, CPC Central Committee and the State Council held a grand ceremony of 2014 National Science and Technology Awards in the Great Hall of People. 318 achievements, 8 scientists and 1 foreign organization were awarded. Four scientific and technological achievements made by professors from CUMTB won the awards, including one first prize and three second prizes of National Science and Technology Progress Awards. According to the statistics from Science and Technology Development Center of Ministry of Education, CUMTB ranked tenth in terms of the award number among colleges and universities nationwide.
