The 33rd International Energy Workshop (IEW) was held in Beijing from June 4 to June 6. About 165 experts and scholars from 27 countries and regions attended this conference, including 22 Chinese mainland scholars. It was the first time for China to host this workshop sine its first meeting in 1981.

　　Jiang Yaodong, Vice President of CUMTB introduced the development history and characteristics of the University. He said it was a great honor for CUMTB to be a member of this high-level international academic exchange platform and CUMTB was willing to make continuous contributions to this workshop.

　　231 high-level essays and abstracts by authors from 47 countries and regions around the world were received. Professor Xu Xiangyang of CUMTB was elected into IEW Organizing Committee and served as the member of 2014 IEW Organizing Committee, the first Chinese member of this Committee.
