Recently, Ralph Gray Award Committee elected Prof. Dai Shifeng from our university as its chairman. Ralph Gray Award Committee consists of international distinguished experts in the fields of organic petrology and coal petrography.

　　Prof. Dai Shifeng was appointed as a member of Ralph Gray Award Committee in 2010 (with a 3-year employment term). As the winner of National Outstanding Youth Science Fund and specially-appointed professor of Cheung Kong Scholar, he is now the chief editor of a world-famous journal, International Journal of Coal Geology. He was once a member of the International Society for Organic Petrology (2010-2012), the only Chinese mainland scholar in the administrative agency of the Society up to now.
