On May 9th, Prof. Jonathan Aitchison, Department Head of Earth Science of the University of Sydney, Australia, visited the university with Ms. Huilan, Department Project Assistant. Vice President Jiang Yaodong met with the delegation. Prof. Jiang Yaodong briefly introduced the current situation and tendency of higher education in China, enrollment situation as well as scientific research characteristics. He also looked forward to the prospect of the international cooperation and exchange between our university and Australian universities and research institutes under the background of good friendship between both countries. Jonathan Aitchison hoped they could work with our university in mining, and realized mutual beneficial cooperation and exchange by several ways such as professor visits and students exchanges.
