A special faculty meeting of CUMTB was convened on the morning of October 12. Sun Yao, Vice-Minister and member of CPC Leading Group of Ministry of Education (MOE), ZhengJichun, Executive Deputy Secretary of the Education Work Committee of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, and Lyu Jie, Deputy Headof the Personnel Department of MOE, attended the meeting and delivered their addresses. Xu Xiaomin, Secretary of the Communist Party Committee of CUMTB, presided over the meeting. At the meeting, Lyu Jie announced the decision of CPC Leading Group of MOE to appoint Ge Shirong, taking the place of Yang Renshu, as President of CUMTB as well as the Committee Member, the Standing Committee Member, and the Deputy Secretary of the Communist Party Committee of CUMTB.
