On the afternoon of November 6, the 2018 Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Award Ceremony was held at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing, attracting much attention from the scientific and technological community. Prof. Wu Qiang from CUMTB, also Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, won the Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress of Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation－Resources and Environmental Protection Technology Award for his fruitful achievements in such fields as prevention and control technology of mine water and resource utilization, and R&D techniques for “coal-water” dual-resources mine. At the ceremony, a total of 56 scientific and technical experts in China were awarded, with 1 Prize for Scientific and Technological Achievement, 37 Prizes for Scientific and Technological Progress and 18 Prizes for Scientific and Technological Innovation.
