On the afternoon of November 16, Ms. Ann Gabriel, Senior Vice President of Global Academic Relations of Elsevier, visited CUMTB. Vice President Wang Jiachen introduced the features, discipline development of CUMTB as well as its teaching andresearches. Ann Gabriel gave the report “Analysis of the Academic Data of China University of Mining and Technology-Beijing”. Throughcomparison, she made an analysis of the academic data of CUMTB and gave a high appraisal to CUMTB’s scientific research performance in recent years. In the meeting, the participants had a heated discussion on how to carry out disciplinary analysis through utilizing the library data, how to instruct and train young scholars in publishing high-quality papers, and how to promote the international publication of the academic works of CUMTB.
