From November 28 to 30, Prof. Wang Jiachen, Vice President of CUMTB, attended AUSROCK 2018－the 4th International Conference on Ground Control in Mining in Australia held by the University of New South Wales, Australia, and gave an invited lecture entitled “Top-coal Caving Mining Technology and Its Theoretical Progress in China”. He introduced the history of the top-coal caving mining of the thick coal seams in China, the research and development of the top-coal caving mining equipment made in China, theoretical progress of the top-coal caving mining technology, and the related research achievements. During the session, Wang Jiachen met with the committee members of this conference, participated in the exhibitions on mining equipment and instruments, and exchanged views with the School of Minerals and Energy Resources Engineering at University of New South Wales.
