Recently, Academician He Manchao, Director of the State Key Laboratory for Geomechanics and Deep Underground Engineering of CUMTB, was elected as Academician of National Academy of Engineering (ANI), Argentina, at the just concluded 2018 ANI Annual Meeting, Argentina. As the highest academic institution in the engineering and technological institution of Argentina, the National Academy of Engineering, Argentina, the same as Chinese Academy of Engineering, is a member of Council of Academies of Engineering and Technological Sciences (CAETS), which is the most important academic organization in the international engineering and technological community.
