On July 14, the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) announced its decision of the 21st China Patent Award: 30 inventionsand patentsfor utility modelswon the ChinesePatentGold Medal, and 10facadedesign patentswon the ChineseDesignGold Medal. “Constant Resistance Large Deformation Cable and Constant Resistance Device” (Patent No.:ZL201110157137.4), applied by Prof.He ManchaofromCUMTB, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences,wonthe ChinesePatentGold Medal this year.Prof.Wu QiangfromCUMTB,academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering,won the Best Recommendation Award of this year.

In this year, atotal of more than 2,400 patents, the largest number in the history,were recommended by the Intellectual Property Administration Agenciesunderthe State Council, local intellectual property offices, relevant nationalindustryassociations, and the academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
