Recently, the Ministry of Education released the list ofnational and provincial first-class undergraduate specialty constructionin 2019, nineundergraduate programsof our university including Information & Computing Science, Geophysics, Civil Engineering, City Underground Space Engineering, Mineral Prospecting and Exploration, Mining Engineering, Mineral Processing Engineering, Environmental Engineering,and Safety Engineeringareselected as the national first-class undergraduate constructionspecialties, and Electrical Engineering and Automation as theprovincialfirst-class undergraduate constructionspecialtyinBeijing.

With the goal of building first-class specialties whicharefuture-oriented, needs-satisfied, development-leading,withadvanced concepts and strong guarantee,the “Double First-Class Specialty Plan” aims to build 10,000 national first-class specialties and 10,000 provincial first-class specialties, so as tolead and support the high-level undergraduate educationdevelopment.
