On the morning of June 18, President Ge Shirong attended the founding conference of China Mobile 5G Smart Mine Alliance and the inauguration ceremony of the first 5G coal mine in China. At the meeting, China Mobile Group Corporation established the “5G Smart Mine Alliance” with more than 70 universities and companies including Tsinghua University, China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing), Yangquan Coal Group, China Coal Technology Engineering Group, and HUAWEI.

Ge Shirong said thatChina’s coal industry is developing towards intelligentcoal mines, which is a new technological revolution in mining technology.Eight ministries and commissions jointly issued the“Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Development of Intelligent Coal Mines”,which clarified the goals, main tasks and incentive measures for the development of intelligent coal mines. 5G technology plays an important role in accelerating the intelligent development of coal mines. CUMTB will work with all partners of China Mobile 5G Smart Mine Alliance to provide full support in terms of talentsand experimental conditions, and work together to further promote the green and intelligent development of China’s mining industry, and further promote the change of quality, efficiency, and power in China’s mining industry.
