On June 18, the university held its first online graduation ceremony to bid farewell to the graduates of 2020. Leaders of the University Party Committee and administrative departments attended the ceremony and took their seats on the rostrum. Deans from all schools, party committees and administrative departments, teachers’ representatives and graduates attended the graduation ceremony online. Wang Zhongqiang presided over the ceremony.

As leaders read out the names of the 4,000 graduates, photos of each graduate on arrival and dressed in academic costumes appearedon the screen accordingly, which filled the graduates with excitement and joy.

Prof. Ge Shirong, deputy secretary of the University Party Committee and President of the university, delivered an affectionate speech entitled“Overcoming difficulties, Striving to grow up”. At the moment that the students are about to embark on a new journey, he put forward a few words of advice to the students: Learn to be firm in difficulties; Learn to bear hardships and stand hard work in difficulties; Learn to improve ability in difficulties.
